Let’s ask a few questions first to determine if you have a Candida Infection.
- Have you taken antibiotics a few times, or cortico-steriod drugs, or acne drugs for 1 month or longer?
- Do you have PMS, vaginitis or yeast infections, endometriosis, abdominal pain, or loss of sexual interest?
- Do you have unexplained headaches, muscle aches and joint pain?
- Do you crave sugar, sugary foods or breads, and alcoholic drinks?
- Are you bothered by chronic fungal infections, like nail fungus, athlete’s foot, jock itch? Or eczema or chronic dermatitis?
- Sensitive to odors, smoke, perfume, insecticides?
- Frequent digestion problems, gas or bloating? Do you have chronic constipation or you switch to diarrhea?
- Do you feel chronically tired with poor memory or continually nervous?
- Do you feel depressed or sick all over yet, the doctors can’t find anything wrong?
This could be the answer. Candida Albicans is a yeast like fungal organism that is normally found in our intestinal tract. What is startling is that the Candida yeast can morph into a dangerous fungus that quickly grows and overwhelms the friendly bacteria such as the acidophilus that is beneficial in everyone’s intestines. These friendly bacteria are the police keepers to keep the natural yeast in balance. Our American diet with sugar in most prepared foods and the white flours or generally the fast foods, can feed these deadly new fungal forms that grow rhizoids (longing burrowing legs) that penetrate the intestinal wall. This aggressive penetration can cause bowel damage or holes in the intestinal walls along with intense pain.
What happens next is the morphed fungal yeast creates the condition, known as Leaky Gut Syndrome. It can become life threatening because the leaky gut lets partially digested proteins and the yeast itself travel into one’s bloodstream. As soon as this happens they are toxic poisons in the body. Those undigested proteins directly enter the bloodstream and then cause an immediate allergic reaction to certain foods. Once the yeast infection has access to one’s whole body, it becomes systemic Candida or systemic candidiasis. It can be a terrifying silent condition with confusing symptoms that the doctor doesn’t recognize as Candida.
In 1984 I found that I had Candida. My own husband at that time was a doctor and had no understanding of the infection. I learned about the treatment by researching what I could find in the alternative resources. I couldn’t follow the cleansing diet completely at that time and over the next fifteen years I was so stressed and overwhelmed by life I didn’t pay attention. In 2005 I had my digestion system painfully close down so to speak. This caught my attention and by doing the following therapies I am again without symptoms and pain free.
Here’s what to do to stop it dead in its tracks.
- Kill the morphed yeast by diet change or supplement therapy. (If the problem is severe and the deadly yeast and toxins from your leaking gut enter into your blood stream, then they have traveled throughout your body. To save your life use Nystatin a drug as a last resort.)
- Cleanse the dead Candida from your system with herbal therapy.
- Strengthen your digestive tract, immune system and especially the liver.
